The first step to getting help is to open up and tell someone you have a problem.

For help with alcohol related issues talk to your GP who will be able to offer you advice and refer you to local services including counselling and treatment centres. Access to HSE treatment services can be through GP referral only. It may also be helpful to contact alcoholics anonymous to find meetings to offer you support.

For help with drug related issues you can talk to your GP who will be able to offer you advice and refer you to local services including counselling and treatment centres. Alternatively you can contact the Drug Services directly on 091 561299 or one of the treatment centres. For access to the Methadone clinic, contact the Drug Services or your GP for a referral. It may also be helpful to contact narcotics anonymous to find meetings to offer you support.
